Piano Recital 2008

On my 37th birthday, I decided to take piano lessons. I had never played before but was always impressed while watching my good friend Michelle in high school. I promised I would endure what all students endure with piano lessons-this included the recitals every year. My first recital was in the spring of 2007. I chose a simple hymn, one that I could learn quickly as I would only be in my third month of lessons at the time of the recital. It was fun! I made a mistake...acknowledged a girl in the front row who was devastated for me...started the hymn again at the beginning and made another mistake. This time I stopped and cracked a joke with the audience and then restarted the hymn from the beginning all over again. I made it through the third time perfectly and to a standing ovation. In 2008, I played again and this time my wonderful husband was able to get it on video. I hope you enjoy it...and I would encourage you to try something new and not be afraid!
