I can't believe how much time has gone by since my last post...I'm really not that busy. My life is pretty quiet and apparently uninteresting. The recovery from the cold I had in January was short lived. I became even more ill in February when the cold virus I couldn't shake came back. Another round of meds and a Z-pack helped to fix the problem and I've been "healthy" since. (Please don't let this jinks me) You may remember that I made some pillows for the sofa that our little puppy damaged. I made a total of seven and as of last week, I'm down to one. What is a girl to do? I celebrated my 40th birthday with a weekend trip to Las Vegas to dine at all of my favorite places and to see a comedy show. On the way down I picked me up a pair of reading glasses because I thought it would be an age appropriate thing to do. We left on our trip at 3:00 AM Saturday morning and arrived in Vegas just short of 10:00. After having breakfast at a great casino buffet, we headed out to see some of our favorite places-one of them being Hoover Dam and the new bridge they are building. then we met up with some of our favorite friends for dinner at the Claimjumper. On Sunday we picked up lunch at Memphis BBQ and of course picked up a snack on the way back at In-N-Out Burger. I managed to get some shopping in before we left-3 shirts a jacket, jeans and a purse for a hundred bucks!
